BAM UK & I are recruiting a Procurement Officer to join their team, working in the Ventures segment with the primary focus of BAM Ritchies, covering the UK. This role will be reporting to the Ventures Procurement Manager.

Your work environment
• This is a full-time permanent position.
• This is a hybrid role that includes a mix of working remotely and going into the BAM Ritchies office in Kilsyth or Stepps, Scotland. There will be a requirement to travel as per the business needs on occasion.

Your mission
• Supporting estimating in tender exercises – this means sourcing route to market, collaborating with stakeholders, defining specification, liaison with the supply chain.
• Supporting BAM UK&I category management, this will need to include departmental growth within the business
• Training and support for Operations teams in conjunction with buying
• Constructionline continued supply chain development
• Financial and compliance checks on supply chain
• Supply relationship management, and development of same with operations, commercial and estimating teams
• Supporting the business with performance, financial and supply issues
• Engaging with H&S, Sustainability & Social Value teams
• Supporting Prompt Payment Group
• Supporting Project mobilisations

Who are we looking for?
• CIPS qualified or studying towards it
• Previous experience working in a Civil Engineering or Construction related field is desirable.
• Driving licence preferred
• Team player – knowledge of BAM culture would be an advantage
• Ability to manage priorities, and to work on their own initiative
• Good confident communicator
• Competent with IT and open to supporting new systems
• Willingness to travel for meetings throughout UK
