Salary: $26.00-$31.20/hourly

Position Summary:

Will plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Environmental Service staff in achieving the mission and goals of the department and Hospital, including hiring, training, disciplining and evaluation of the staff. Performs daily and weekly inspection duties as required to ensure optimum department performance. Performs housekeeping cleaning duties as required. Maintains an open line of communication with the Environmental Service Staff and all service departments of the Hospital.

Qualifications:

Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Management or Environmental related field. Prefer 2 years technical training in Environmental Service Management or related field. Prefer two years’ experience in healthcare or related Environmental Service Department with at least two years successful experience in a lead or supervisory role.

Requires knowledge of how to clean various surfaces and equipment in medical or hospital environment. Knowledge and understanding of use and handling of cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning equipment safely and properly. Knowledge and experience in stripping, refinishing and pad buffing of hard surface floors and spot cleaning and extraction of carpets.

Good interpersonal skills for dealing with staff, patients, and visitors.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Computer skills-Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
