Job Overview
EAC Network is currently seeking a dedicated Bilingual Family Advocate to join our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) NCA Provision of Core Direct Services Program located in Central Islip, NY. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401K, and an extensive Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a vital liaison between victims and social service agencies.
• Assist both Spanish and English-speaking victims in the completion and submission of necessary paperwork for victims compensation.
• Manage and maintain case records as mandated.
• Collaborate with other victim services agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Provide administrative support to the CAC Division Director, ensuring effective office coverage.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly statistical reports.
• Undertake additional administrative tasks associated with the Child Advocacy Center.
• Accurately complete Medical Staff Vouchers and maintain the Medical Staff database as required.
• Offer transportation and escort clients to appointments, including safely securing children in appropriate car seats.
Required Skills
• Associate’s Degree is mandatory; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Strong understanding of administrative procedures is necessary.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and database software, is expected.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
