We are working with a successful manufacturing business with a healthy order book in their search for an experienced Head of Operations to help them meet their current and future operational challenges!
The role will involve a high level of engagement with internal staff and external stakeholders and needs an individual with experience in changing hearts and minds and rolling out a modern manufacturing philosophy with a good vision for what the factory should look like and how it should operate for the future.
Your Responsibilities:
– Set and lead the implementation of the strategic vision and provide leadership to production teams and facilities ensuring they deliver growth and improved profitability expectations.
– Lead, motivate and develop the teams within production to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently and that individuals achieve their potential.
– Developing and implementing the operations strategy as it relates to the site, ensuring it supports the delivery required growth of revenue and profitability.
– Implementing improvement programmes, ensuring that profitable partnerships are built and maintained.
– Proactively collaborate with the supply chain team to support the onboarding of new suppliers and developing new partnerships.
– Monitor performance through KPIs and assist in setting financial and budget targets – provide guidance and leadership if performance needs to be corrected.
– Lead all teams to deliver the strategic plan and business goals, creating a professional and positive working environment and culture.
– Take the lead on product quality improvement, implementing standards which comply with the standards in place and reducing returns as a percentage of products sold.
– Drive cost improvements across operations teams, instilling an efficient mindset and approach.
Your Skills & Experience:
– A track record of excellent leadership skills, with the ability to flex leadership style to given situations within a large manufacturing environment.
– Ability to motivate and inspire complex and geographically diverse teams.
– Committed and dedicated as well as being adaptable and flexible.
– Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
– Excellent project management leadership skills which use people management, business planning and customer liaison skills.
– Batch manufacturing in a Lot and Serialised environment.
– Operational excellence / lean background.
– Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
– Proven track record at the senior level in a growing and changing business environment.
