You will play a crucial role in supporting the Sam’s Advisor team . As an unbiased go-to resource, you’ll provide valuable insights into categories, consumer trends, and merchandising solutions.

Your responsibilities include supporting the modular development processes, conducting market, shopper, and consumer analytics , and identifying performance metrics, innovation opportunities, and emerging trends. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for establishing a best-in-class partnership with the retailer.


• Drawing Modulars Using Blue Yonder (Approx. 50% of Your Time) : In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating modular layouts using Blue Yonder software (Space Planning).
• Analytical Support : Provide analytical assistance to the advisor, buyer, and the modular planning team.
• Project Management : Manage project requests and assignments related to category updates, timelines, and implementations.
• Collaboration with Merchants : Work closely with the merchant and advisor to develop category strategy and utilize advanced software effectively.
• Product Image and Dimension Maintenance : Ensure accurate product images and dimensions are maintained.
• Modular Analysis : Execute modular analysis using JDA tables, formulas, highlights, charts, and labels.
• Performance Tracking and Communication : Monitor and communicate performance metrics to Sam’s Merchant.
• Test & Learn Execution : Track performance and provide report-outs to the merchant.
• Store and Product Attributes : Maintain all relevant store and product attributes for the category.
• Advisor Meetings : Assist in preparing for and participating in advisor meetings.
• Training and Technical Support : Provide training and technical support to the space team.

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in Category Management and Analytics within the consumer-packaged goods ( CPG ) industry.
• 2+ years of familiarity with Space Management software (such as Blue Yonder / JDA).
• Strong PC skills, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint , and Word proficiency.
• Experience working with standard data resources and solutions (e.g., Syndicated POS, Panel, Retail Link, Madrid).
• Ability to understand and utilize category data in conjunction with Space Management software and reporting tools.
• Comfortable working independently and handling sensitive information.
• Thorough understanding of merchandising principles .
• Willingness to proactively contribute to the team, taking on tasks regardless of size, and offering assistance before being asked.
