Join our team where every moment holds significance.

Each day, more than 30,000 colleagues from Hartford HealthCare arrive to work sharing a common ethos: Taking pride in their duties, mindful of the fact that every moment here is of importance. We extend an invitation for you to join the most extensive healthcare network in the region.

MidState Medical Center, serving our community since 1998, is a lively and forward-thinking organization having a sincere concern for our patients, community, and employees. We have garnered top honors for our exceptional stroke care, received gold-level recognition for organ donation, and appointed leaders in fields of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation, ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care.

Our Nurses collaborate in environments with robust interdisciplinary teams, concentrating on a patient-centered care model in a work setting replete with diversity. Under the guidance and superintendence of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse makes use of evidence-based practices according to the State Nurse Practice Act, as well as the hospital's policies and procedures, and as directed by the medical staff. Through knowledge and ability, the registered nurse develops a care plan which encapsulates standards of practice to address the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and their families.

We are scouting for highly driven Registered Nurses for our Progressive Care Unit. This unit consists of 20 beds and accommodates complex medical and surgical patients whose needs can't be fulfilled in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but are too intricate for a regular hospital floor. The staff comprises Registered Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Administrative Support Staff, with Physicians and mid-level providers available round the clock. Our unit is equipped with the latest technology, including Electronic Medical Records.

- Current Connecticut RN License mandatory within 90 days from the date of employment.

- Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school.

- BLS certification by the American Heart Association is a must.

- Acute Care RN experience for a minimum of one year is preferred, but Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply.
