Facilities Manager / Operations Manager

Brisbane Southern Suburbs, Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within a private property group with an established network of Shopping Centres throughout SE Queensland. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be the leading Facilities expert and have autonomy for the Shopping Centre where you are based. As part of a larger Facilities Management team, you will have support, access to training and development, and the ability to utilise excellent systems.

As the maintenance, security, and safety custodian, your role will draw upon your ability to drive the centre's brand through appearance, keep the environment safe and clean, and build strong, robust relationships with contractors, tenants, stakeholders, and customers.

A snapshot of your responsibilities includes:
• Maintain the Centre to a high level of cleanliness and maintenance.
• Run the operational budget for the Centre
• Keep the Centre’s plant and equipment in good order and repair.
• Ensure all maintenance/ operations meet insurance, workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintenance, cleaning and security contractor coordination and management
• Ensure contractors are inducted correctly
• Monitor and maintain programs to reduce electricity, water and other service wastage.
• Assist with the coordination of refurbishment and tenant fit-out projects

You will be a strong customer-facing doer who can keep on top of tasks autonomously; you will have facilities management hard services experience within a commercial, hospitality or retail asset; experience working within a Retail / Shopping Centre environment would be preferred but is not essential. You will have an understanding of financial preparation.
