jobs description

We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and the Global Majority are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single specification. If you’re excited about the role but your experience or qualifications don’t perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups such as the global majority, LGBTQA+, and those with a disability and neurodiverse conditions.

The role:

This role ensures the effective and efficient running of daily Higher Education activities through administrative and organisational support. The Higher Education team share responsibility for programming and delivering one-day to full-semester length courses, for higher education institutions, and professional creatives. This role assists this activity planning, acting as a front facing member of the team to all visitors, supporting the... effective use of workshop spaces, responding to issues, and ensuring colleagues are aware of work taking place.

The team:

Education is at the heart of Shakespeare’s Globe. We run a year-round programme of activities, courses and events for schools, families, young people, universities, drama schools, scholars and the general public, both on and off-stage. Activities are aligned with values of social justice, access and Shakespeare for all, delivered across the Education Producing, Higher Education, Learning and Research & Collections teams.

Shakespeare’s Globe:

We celebrate Shakespeare’s transformative impact on the world by conducting a radical theatrical experiment. Inspired and informed by the unique historic playing conditions of two beautiful iconic theatres, our diverse programme of work harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity, and excites learning to make Shakespeare accessible for all.
