Reporting to the Head of Business Transition, we are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Technical Writer to join the team on a 9-12-month fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for the developing & training program materials including Instructional Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Technical User Guides, Video-based learning, eLearning, software simulation & animation.

You will be the subject matter experts to determine clear learning objectives based on business needs.

Your primary focus will be to gather... information to develop, organize, and write a range of learning content (including technical and system training) in various formats, including user manuals, procedures, and quick reference guides.

You will also assist to undertake and conduct gap analysis on roles, responsibilities, and knowledge across the business to deliver targeted learning content in suitable formats.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work with key business SMEs to collect and collate information for systems and processes to determine the learning approach, development of training materials and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with key Business Transition SMEs and design roles to incorporate video, animation and communications content for training methodologies, design, and delivery.
• Determine appropriate training methodology and recommend the appropriate design and delivery.
• Utilise instructional design methods for content design and delivery.
• Design and develop formal and informal learning solutions for delivery in multiple formats including eLearning, train the trainer, instructor led, performance support materials, user guides & technical instructions.
• Design and develop interactive multimedia instructional content outlines and storyboards that address written, visual, and audio requirements (video & voice).
• Design and develop visual communications for internal audiences across multiple formats i.e.: Intranet Banners, Posters, PowerPoint Presentation Templates, News Articles using branding and design.
• Provide editing/quality control for training deliverables, communications and other how to processes for systems and business processes.

About you:
• Min 3-5 years’ experience within corporate training and instructional design, ideally from a highly regulated environment such as Retail, Banking / Financial Services or Telecommunications.
• Demonstrate experience in creating engaging and innovative learning content using multiple styles and delivery channel methods.
• Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning principles, theories and concepts, instructional design theory and methods, instructional methods and delivery options, and measurement & evaluation methods.
• Ability to develop learning materials including, eLearning modules, Instructor guides (exercises, presentations, and lesson plans), User Guides, Performance Support materials (QRGs, Online help).
• Ability to develop quizzes for eLearning and exercises for Instructor led workshops.
• Ability to administer and manage training using a Learning Management System an advantage.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening and collaboration.
• The ability to effectively multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritise work.
