Hudson Country Montessori (HCMS)seeks a seasoned Montessori Certified Primary Teacher with the desire and potential to grow into a full-time leadership position in one of our two school campuses. The position initially involves being the lead teacher in a Primary classroom, coaching the other primary team members, planning Primary training and professional development opportinities with the... Director and coorinating Primary community building programs to support the Director. This position is intended to both support our current Director and to replace her when she retires. Requirements: Minimum education - MACTE Montessori EC Credential, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Education or Family Studies, English writing proficiency, Accreditation experience a plus, leadership ability, skilled commuicator.

Located in Danbury, Connecticut, HCMS is located on 3 suburban acres in a contemporary building that serves 210 students from 8 weeks old to eighth grade. The school is the sister school of HCMS in New Rochelle, NY that was founded in 1972. The Danbury location was opened in 1995. Danbury is very diverse town and as a result our school faculty and families represent 36 different cultures.The school is not-for-profit and is run by a non-parent Board of Directors. Danbury is approximately one hour north of NYC and approximately one hour west of Hartford. Danbury is busy, rapidly growing town that in addition to several large corporations is also home to Western Connecticut State University.
