Location: Limerick About this role: Key responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems, including process flow, workstations, and equipment. - Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. - Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures. - Manage part/BOM creation and maintenance - will need experience with ERP systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of projects, including production, quality, and design teams. - Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects, providing input on manufacturing feasibility and ensuring successful transfer to production. - Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve any manufacturing issues and improve product quality. - Drive continuous improvement efforts by... identifying and implementing process optimisation projects. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. - Identify and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing process problems through testing, evaluation, and analysis. - Engage with appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Safety, Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing Issues. - Manage and mentor junior engineers as required. - Occasional travel to support SCS goals and objectives may also be required. Essential experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (MedTech and/or Aerospace preferred). - 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, including process flow, workstations, and equipment. - Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma. - Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or CREO. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for improving manufacturing processes and systems. - Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
