The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Investment Manager for a team that oversees approximately $40 billion of 3M’s retirement plan assets, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of investment professionals while delivering world class investment management services to 3M’s U.S. and international pension plans, 401(k) investments, and other retirement... assets. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading the interest rate hedging and fixed income programs across U.S. and international plans, including partnership with liability-driven investment managers within each country Managing the internal intermediate bond fund within the U.S. 401(k) investment lineup Partnering with consultants on defined contribution plans and securities lending programs Conducting due diligence of investment managers, including research, selection, and monitoring Preparing investment analysis, performance commentary, peer benchmarking, and presentation materials for the Investment Committee and plan Trustees Monitoring and reporting on portfolio balances, liquidity, and leverage, including recommendations and preparation of asset allocation and rebalancing trades Becoming the subject matter expert of external financial systems, including Bloomberg Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance and/or economics (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Seven (7) years of experience in investment management, finance, and/or treasury in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: CFA or MBA Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to integrate into a small, dynamic, fast-paced, and flex-based team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams Experience with fixed income and liability-driven investing Knowledge of defined contribution plans Prior use of Bloomberg, FactSet, Backstop, and/or Python Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid) Travel: May include up to 10% domestic Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). The expected compensation range for this position is $177,961 - $217,508, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
