The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to 18 (16 in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services for perinatal women. The Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and registered RN1/RN2 Mental Health Nurse to join CAMHS Mallee Ward in a fulltime , temporary capacity until 16 Feb 2024 . As a Mental Health Clinical Nurse you will assess, educate, counsel and co-ordinate group work. These are considered essential components of care which is directed towards the attainment of optimum consumer health and recovery. This involves consultation and liaison with other professional disciplines and nongovernmental organisations. About You To be successful as RN1 , you will have: >Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills >Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service to consumers/clients >Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice >Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse within a healthcare setting To be successful as RN2 , you will have: >Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. >Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting >Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses >Knowledge of contemporary nursing/midwifery and health care issues To find out the specifics, including the key selection criteria and special conditions , please go to the attached role description.
