Role Description:
We are looking for an Organizational Change Consultant with preferred experience providing consulting services to Electric, Gas, or Water Utilities. This role will assist with the change management strategy by facilitating communication among business stakeholders and fostering adoption among recipients of the change. In addition to schedules and managing client engagement to... ensure OCM activities are defined, documented, and completed, the OCM consultant will participate in project and scrum team activities to address business process gaps, recommend alternative solutions, capture limitations and ensure OCM goals are achieved.
This role will be expected to:
• Apply a structured methodology when leading change management activities.
• Apply change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption.
• Develop engagement plans and support communication efforts.
• Coordinate and conduct change assessment.
• Assess change readiness, impact, and effectiveness.
• Design and develop enablement programs for skill development.
• Coordinate with project PMO’s and Scrum Masters to align timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Facilitate organizational leadership goal setting.
• Train change management principles.
• Develop change assessment instrument.
• Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation recommendations.
• Develop a resistance mitigation strategy.
• Create deliverables for OCM strategy milestones.
• Coach change agents.
• Contribute insight for organizational design, job descriptions, roles, and responsibilities.
• Track and report progress and challenges.
Experience:
• 3 - 5 years of experience in applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools
• 5 years of experience managing professional level employees
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
• Industry-recognized or accredited OCM Certification (APMG, CCMP, Prosci, etc.)
• Strong analytic skills and ability to provide insight into project progress
• Bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior science, industrial psychology, business, or related field of study
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Visio and SharePoint
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Familiarity with Agile SaFe software development methods and practices is a plus.
• Change Management experience in the utility industry is preferred.
• Ability to design and develop documentation templates for reuse.
• Experience in ADMS, DMS, GIS is preferred.
Project Logistics:
Start date: Immediate
Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 For full-time
Employment Type: Full time or Independent Contractor opportunity
Location: Client locations throughout the US with potential for weekly travel
