Flexible working patterns will be considered.
It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We would expect this to be approximately twice a month.

The Pensions Team are part of the Finance & Business Services Unit which also includes the Staff Payments Team and Accounts... Teams.
The role
This is an excellent oppertunity to join a busy team who administer all aspect of pension scheme membership for staff of the Open University. The Pensions Administrator role encompasses a variety of administrative functions in connection with the University’s pension scheme members.
You will be working with a small team, so it is important you are team oriented and willing to undertake a range of tasks and responsibilities. This will include accurate data collection and submission, close liaison with other University departments and USS. It can be a busy environment therefore it is essential that you can deal with high pressure calmly and effectively.
Skills and experience
• Previous administrative experience including exposure to working in a busy office environment.
• Proven IT Skills including Microsoft word and intermediate knowledge of Excel (including creating spreadsheets, functions such as data sorting/searching and V-lookup).
• The ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
• A high level or attention to detail is essential, as is an ability to adapt to changing workloads and complexities.
• Some pension administration experience would be useful but not essential.
