• Develops, implements, and continuously assesses and improves departmental policies, procedures, practices, and programs; stays up-to-date and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal crime legislation.
• Cultivates positive community relations and serves as liaison with local municipal agencies and courts; develops partnerships with other jurisdictions; represents the division in a variety of forums on all public safety matters; investigates and addresses inquiries and complaints related to law enforcement staff and/or department procedures
