We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with background in ICT security/cyber security software development, and experience using Visual Studio, C#, .NET Framework, and possess the ability to develop robust scripts and queries for data collection, transport, and transformation.

This role involves collaborating within a DevOps environment, managing code repositories, and providing expert guidance to a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Software Development: Lead the development and maintenance of log collection agents using Visual Studio, C#, and .NET Framework (4.6 and above) to ensure the continuous operation of cyber security monitoring systems.
• Scripting and Querying: Develop and maintain scripts... queries, and translations using PowerShell, SQL, and XSLT to facilitate data collection, transport, and transformation processes.
• Data Format Expertise: Apply expertise in data formats such as JSON, XML, and Common Event Format (CEF) to optimise data handling and integration.
• DevOps Integration: Utilise code repository and software development platforms, including Visual Studio and Gitlab, to manage the software development lifecycle, ensuring proper testing, configuration control, and application builds for deployment in an enterprise environment.
• Documentation: Generate technical documentation related to applications, data sets, and software development environments, and provide knowledge sharing and guidance to the team.
• Windows OS Expertise: Leverage extensive experience with Windows Operating Systems to provide subject matter expertise (SME) to ITIS stakeholders, contributing to security-focused outcomes.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software development using Visual Studio, C#, and .NET Framework (4.6 and above) in a DevOps environment.
• Strong scripting and querying skills using PowerShell, SQL, and XSLT.
• Familiarity with data formats, including JSON, XML, and Common Event Format (CEF).
• Proficiency in code repository and software development platforms (e.g., Visual Studio, Gitlab).
• Ability to create MSI files ready for deployment in an enterprise environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide knowledge sharing and guidance to a small team.
• Extensive experience with Windows Operating Systems and the ability to act as a subject matter expert (SME) in security-focused contexts.
