About The Role:

Seeking a Health & Safety Advisor, to provide leadership and support to our Western Region (Upper Eyre Peninsula) country storage facilities. The primary responsibility of the Health and Safety Advisor role is to assist the business in the implementation and ongoing compliance with Health and Safety policies and standards, work with local management and employees to increase safety awareness and to participate in scheduled and ad hoc safety activities including audits, investigations, training and projects. This role will cover locations such as Ceduna, Wudinna, Kimba and Streaky Bay, therefore the successful applicant must either live in the area or be prepared to relocate to the... area.

Duties
• Contribute and influence an environment where health and safety is an integral part of how we do business
• Provide advice on the management and control of safety hazards and risks in line with safety policies and standards
• Coach and assist leaders and employees in relation to hazard identifying, control of risk and compliance with the health and safety management system
• Lead health and safety incident investigations and provide support to the business, identify corrective actions and provide input into solutions to prevent further issues
• Undertake audits and inspections in line with the health and safety management system
• Participate in various safety initiatives as required by the health and safety management team including those required to achieve targets set in the annual Health and Safety improvement plan

What You Bring:

✔️ Formal Safety Expertise: A minimum of Certificate IV in WHS, backed by at least 5 years of safety experience. (Within a self-insured environment desirable)
