79 an hour 17 hours ago 17 hours ago 17 hours ago Job Description This is an administrative position within the City Managers Office under the general direction and control of the City Manager but reports directly to and is supervised by the Museum Director.
The employee is responsible for greeting visitors, collecting entrance fees, offering general information to visitors, scheduled groups, and telephone callers.
The employee performs sales services for admissions and Museum Store.
Assists with fundraisers, special events, classes, tours, and assists with facility rentals.
Assists with the coordination and training of Museum volunteers.
Manages Museum Store, inventory, financials, and promotions.
Manages Museum Memberships and Member outreach programs.
Manage Museum Store:
create promotional events to drive sales, manage prices, collect payment from visitors, perform opening, and closing procedures.
Maintain Museum Store appearance and inventory.
Manage Museum Stores financials in coordination with Museum Director and City Finance Department.
Manage Museum Memberships:
process new Memberships, send renewal reminders, and keep Museum mailing list up to date.
Create Member events and outreach programs to grow Member base.
Greet exhibit visitors, provide general exhibit information to visitors, and answer phone inquiries.
Assist in the coordination, training, and supervision of volunteers.
Assist with group tours and special events.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred Qualifications - High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of one-year retail experience.
Advanced education or experience in Finance, Retail Management, or Accounting preferred.
Must have good accounting skills and ability to work with financial reports.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Must possess excellent public relations skills and the general ability to communicate with, educate, and excite people from diverse backgrounds.
Must be able to speak English clearly.
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends as required.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with the public to present a positive image of the City and the Museum.
Must have a valid class C Georgia driver's license and a satisfactory seven-year driving history to include no DUIs in the last five years.
Drug screen and criminal background check at time of hire required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
