Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to become our Inclusion Diversity & Equality Change and Training Manager.
The purpose of the role is to embed the internal cultural and behavioural aspects of our Inclusion, Diversity and Equality (IDE) Strategy .
The IDE change and training manager’s role is to define the desired culture, devise and deliver a strategic IDE training programme and other change interventions to embed IDE in all that we do.
The role requires leadership through high levels of collaboration with the Inclusion team which is more focused on our external work and HR colleagues who operationalise the IDE strategy into people policies and practices and with staff across the organisation.
The IDE Change and Training Manager will advise senior stakeholders in how they can role model and influence... the culture.
Salary:
National - £36,603-£39,000 pro rata depending on experience
Greater London - £39,408 - £42,000 pro rata depending on experience
Inner London - £40,748 - £43,000 pro rata depending on experience
What you will be doing:
Design engagement with senior stakeholders in the organisation to identify the desired culture, required mindset and skill sets, define the steps needed to get there, and how we measure and evidence progress and success.
We need you to design staff engagement to diagnose how inclusive the organisation currently is, identify barriers to greater inclusivity and define the support and tools staff need to create the desired culture and outcomes
You will Lead the development and roll out of a strategic IDE training programme, by analysing past IDE training, coordinating the offerings different teams currently provide and managing the tender process for new suppliers where required.
You will play a key role in leading the analysis, design and delivery of change interventions and mechanisms beyond the training programme to influence the culture, skills and mindset towards the desired state, engaging senior stakeholders and staff.
You will play a key role in identifying any budget needed, write a business case for that budget and in collaboration with the Head of Organisation Development secure the budget. Manage the budget.
There will be some travel involved to support training and other events and to run or participate in meetings.
What we are looking for:
• Change Management: Experience of driving and delivering change initiatives that involve the people side of change using a change management methodology
• Excellent Communication Skills and ability to create a positive change narrative
• Experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders
• Excellent facilitation skills in person and online
• Understand Inclusion, Diversity and Equality and training
• Driven to deliver while collaborating across the organisation
