Job Description

To support the production processes within Saltrock ensuring all
creative photography is delivered to the agreed critical path.

The photography assistant works to represent Saltrock products in
a true to life form... ensuring what customers see on the site is the same as they
pull out of the box, while ensuring images are consistent with the brand.

The role involves working
closely with the brand photographer and wider team, to produce high quality and
commercial photography either model or flat lay, both in the studio and on
location, for use on website, social media, press, email, brochures, stores and
look books.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
• Studio and clothing flat shots will
make up a portion of your assignments, and you should be as excited about
shooting these
• Planning, organisational skills and
attention to detail are imperative
• You must possess a sharp eye for
detail and a drive to produce fantastic images, whatever the subject.
• As well as creating images, you will
be jointly responsible for our studio's daily operation and maintenance.
• Retouching
of images in preparation of upload to website
• Support all creative
teams in working to the critical path and delivering assets on schedule.
• Liaise with eCommerce & Brand teams to facilitate rack-up dates
ahead of shoots. Name and maintain digital asset
files while accurately checking off weekly shootlists
• Support with the planning and
execution of ecommerce and lifestyle photography ensuring projects are delivered
on time and meet the highest of quality standards
• Produce
creative, high quality and commercial product images, either flat lay or
model, both in the studio and on location, for use on social media,
website, press, email, brochures, stores and look books
• To help
maintain and develop Photography brand guidelines for each season
• The ability to follow and
help develop best working practices
• Support with
the setup, management, and maintenance of the photo studio, including but
not limited to lighting equipment, props, general organisation
• Assist the Brand
photographer in producing internal creative shoots ensuring all production
aspects are considered
• Support the
wider Ecom & Brand team to create relevant photographic assets, and
help create content for digital channels
• Demonstrating
your high attention to detail by ensuring all content is excellent quality,
aligned with the brand and highly engaging
• Work
flexibly to meet business requirements including occasional weekend or out
of hours when photographic schedule requires.

Key Attributes:

· Strong interest/experience with photography for eCommerce

· A good
knowledge of digital workflow from camera to editing

· Experience
of basic studio lighting techniques

· Image editing and colour check/match images with garments/products
ensuring consistent colour accuracy

· A keen
approach in using innovative technologies for developing the website, imagery
and general aesthetic of the website

· Maintain and organise all production assets on our servers

· Broad
interest of different forms of photography
• Must be a completer finisher,
diligent and very well organised
• Ability to take initiative and work
calmly under pressure
• Ability to be flexible and react quickly to changing information
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment

· Be a
strong team player who is eager to learn and can grasp new information quickly

Required Skills:

Relevant
portfolio that demonstrates abilities in product photography

· Previous experience working within a similar eCommerce
photographic studio or creative agency

· Understanding
and experience of studio photography desirable

· Good
knowledge of digital cameras and creative photography techniques

· Experience
with Capture One and tethering would be an advantage

· Strong
working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

· In-house photographic work

· Product Styling

· eCommerce
product photography and post-production

· Good use
of initiative within the parameters of the job description

· Working
as part of a fast-moving team to achieve common goals
