We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our Retention and Student Experience team as the Senior Manager of Experience Projects with a strong emphasis on technology understanding. As the Senior Manager of... Experience Projects, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all projects related to enhancing the user experience, with a specific focus on leveraging technology to achieve our business goals. Your expertise in understanding technology trends, user behavior, and market demands will be pivotal in driving our organization's success.
• Leadership and Strategy: Aligning technology and user experience objectives with the overall university goals and the retention and student experience goals. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and set clear project objectives.
• Technology Understanding: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to user experience and customer engagement. Possess a deep understanding of various technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics to explore innovative ways of enhancing user experiences.
• Project Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all experience projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• User-Centric Approach: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that the end-user's needs, preferences, and pain points are at the forefront of all experience projects. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and make data-driven decisions for optimizing user experiences.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between the Experience Projects team and executive stakeholders, presenting project updates, progress reports, and actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Team Management: Manage a small team, and provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members to help them achieve their professional growth and project objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Manage performance, solve problems, and motivate the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management (BSc) or a similar field - a must
• Master’s degree – an advantage
• English as a mother tongue - an advantage
• Proven experience (5 years) in a leadership role overseeing experience projects with a strong focus on technology integration.
• In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, along with a passion for creating innovative user experiences.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle major projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Experience in user research methodologies and usability testing is a plus
