• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide basic GIS Support to project teams. The incumbent will analyse spatial data created from a variety of sources to provide project teams with basic cartographic products and data products. Create GIS data from a variety of sources, digital or analogue, and conducts conversion between various file types including text, tabular, CAD, and other GIS formats.
• Gather data received from internal and external sources to make them usable in GIS.
• Participates in routine GIS data analysis, file management, database management, spatial data capture, structuring, and integration into GIS data themes.
• Prepare maps, drawings, figures, sketches, charts, and presentation posters for use in proposals and design reports.
• Managing the mapping components of various projects using GIS software, including ArcGIS;
• Assist in preparing maps, drawings, figures, sketches, charts and presentation posters for use in proposals and design reports;
• 2D and 3D... GIS data analysis, file management, database management, spatial data capture, georeferencing, structuring and integration into GIS data themes;
• Convert GIS data between multiple file formats;
• Report to and review project work with senior GIS personnel;
• Work collaboratively with staff from other Golder offices, as required to meet project and client needs;
• Communicate and operate in a professional and courteous manner with team members, Project Managers, and clients;
• Perform other administrative and technical duties as required
