• Be a key part in the recovery journey of our Tangata Whai ora and use your skills and knowledge to improve health outcomes
• Permanent, full time (40 hours) per week, based in Auckland City Hospital
Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity
Te Whetu Tawera (TWT) is Te Toka Tumai Auckland’s 58 bed adult, inpatient mental health unit. Situated in the heart of Auckland, our purpose-built, free-standing unit is on the grounds of the Auckland City Hospital with superb access to public transport, close to several major shopping and entertainment centres and adjacent to the Auckland Domain.
TWT provides a hospital-based continuum of care for adults, 18-65, with complex psychiatric problems in our 3 wards : a 12 bed psychiatric intensive care (ICU) and two 23 bed open wards.
Our recovery approach supports and complements the community mental health services of Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake Important Skills
You will be a Mental Health Nurse registered with a New Zealand professional board with a current Practising Certificate or eligible for the same.
It is desirable that you have two years’ experience or more working in mental health settings.
