We are currently welcoming interest in a Site Engineer position with in Waterford. The company are a leading main contractor who specialise in commercial, industrial and residential projects. Ideally the candidate will come from a similar organisation. Previous experience as a project engineer in civils or buildings would be desirable. This is a permanent position and would suit any applicant who is seeking to progress their career.

Responsibilities
• Supervising the site construction and analyse project construction data
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards of the project construction
• Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency of the project construction
• Implement improvements to designs and processes
• Incorporate eco-friendly and sustainable features into design plans
• Create graphical representations of the procedure of the project construction regularly
• Prepare project construction documents and presentations
•... Compile and present project construction reports explaining project details to non- technical stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standards
• Monitor engineering activities; assign contractor task
• Create construction schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlines
• Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities
• Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes

Requirements
• Degree educated in a construction related discipline
• Civil Engineering degree desirable but not essential
• 3+ years experience in a Project Engineer / Site Engineer role with a main contractor
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
• Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software
• Familiar with scientific analysis software as well as graphics and map creation software
• Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources
• Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Active listening and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use the scientific process to solve problems
• Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies
• History of the successful delivery of schemes in the region of €10m-€30m
