Job Description:

HPE Storage is seeking an outstanding software engineer to join a team of high-performing engineers tasked with bringing strategic focus and data-driven analysis to changing the game in support delivery and customer experience.

You will be joining an agile, empowered team, focused on providing business value through the analysis of telemetry data received from HPE storage and enterprise products. The team leverages a state-of-the-art, reactive, microservice-based architecture to process and analyze the data, and expose the results via an API and web application.

This position is with Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Storage Division as part of the Performance Team. A hire will be working on our HPE Alletra Storage MP Enterprise storage offering in a multi-billion dollar product business.

An ideal candidate will be highly motivated and will have a mix of strong skills in a technical discipline (software, hardware, mathematics, statistics, or similar field) as well as excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
• Performs bottleneck and code path analysis using an understanding of HW/SW interactions, leveraging in-house as well as industry standard profiling tools (e.g., Linux perf, AMD uProf)
• Executes established measurement plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
• Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools
• Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for complex products.

Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent
• Early Career

Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Understanding of design for software systems running in a multiprocessing environment
• Understanding of basic coding, testing and debugging procedures
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Python, C/C++, Shell scripting
• Familiarity with Linux OS
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent debugging and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team based environment

Annual Salary: $65,400.00 - $150,600.00
