ezyCollect is an Australian-founded B2B start-up/scale-up on a mission to eliminate late payments! We put smart technology in the hands of ambitious businesses, so they have the cash and confidence to manifest their dreams. Our invoice-to-payments subscription software complements accounting/ERP software (MYOB, Xero, NetSuite, SAP etc.) to automate the process of getting paid. We are expanding our products and services as well as our team! We are a team of over 70 across Australia, Brazil, and the Philippines and are looking to hire those with curiosity and grit who get excited about having a big impact on a growing company. We have some exciting plans for the future, with an IPO and international expansion expected later in 2023.

As a Senior Backend Engineer at ezyCollect, you would build products and services that are inspiring, meaningful and have a direct impact

on business outcomes.

Working within one of our delivery teams, you’ll build and improve our products and enjoy... seeing how they change the lives of their users.

This is a full time position, based in Sydney, Australia. The total salary offered for this role is between 100,000 and 120,000 AUD.

The Role
• Solve customer problems by providing solutions advice and overcoming technical hurdles
• Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales
• Work on RFPs / customer’s technical requirements with the PO
• Prepare demos and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate various use cases for ezyCollect
• Understand customer requirements, propose and execute technical implementation
• Identify gaps in product and customer needs. Propose alternate solutions or customisations together with their technical feasibility and scope
• Implement new and maintain existing customisations across different ezyCollect product offerings. Own and make technical changes as necessary to ensure these continue to meet high standards of reliability and performance
• Work closely with product teams to identify features on respective roadmaps and collaborate on migrating specific customisations to the core products
• Collaborates to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment and continuously helps improve the team processes and deliverables
• Crafts code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintains and advocates for these standards

The Role Requirements - Must Haves:
• 6+ years of software development or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience with development in a multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS software in Backend
• Strong competency across
• Java, Spring or Spring Boot
• Decoupled and event-driven architectures
• Secure, scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions
• Microservices
• AWS (Lambda, S3, SNS and SQS, etc...)
• Fluent/Native English

The Role Requirements - Desirable:
• Have relevant experience in a fast-paced FinTech or SaaS business
• Building and designing APIs to be used as primitive building blocks for future product development
• Work experience with Kubernetes
