Registered Dietitian status as recognized by the American Dietetic Association. New Mexico License required. Three years experience as a Clinical Dietitian . Requires proven professional leadership skills as demonstrated through leading a project, a process improvement or a professional organization.*Analytical (decision-making involved in position)Ability to gather, evaluate and apply information in order to plan and develop high quality effective programs for patient service and the provision of clinical nutrition services. Develops and implements cost effective nutrition programs for Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement evidence-based nutrition care plans*Establishes and maintains policies, standards and programs for the provision of optimal, cost-effective nutrition care to patients. This includes coordinating and directing all clinical activities, determining and implementing appropriate clinical staffing levels, and effectively managing ongoing clinical competency and performance management programs.*Utilizes equipment, resources and programs to provide efficient and high quality care. This includes development and maintenance of a cost effective enteral nutrition formulary that insures appropriate product availability to meet the needs of the patient population.* Responsible for monitoring and reporting clinical nutrition and patient service performance improvement indicators and monitors.*Participates with management in achievement of patient satisfaction scores for internal and external patient satisfaction with food service or other pertinent questions, the budget process, and other activities which support PHS standards and goals.* Develops goals and objectives for Clinical Nutrition Services to maintain high quality care. Assists in the performance planning process for dietitians and clinical nutrition staff. Interviews, selects and trains employees within the clinical nutrition staff.*Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of the patient population.*Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other PHS departments to provide a unified approach to patient care. Participates in and contributes to multidisciplinary teams and committees, as assigned*Provides education programs for PHS professional staff.
