Senior Research Associate/Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 520198) (to commence as soon as possible for one-year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines, with experience in large-scale computer cluster management (at least 3 years’ experience for senior research associate position). The applicant should have experience in setting up and administering large computer clusters, including but not limited to, job scheduling, network storage, data backup, and performance tuning. Experience with software framework such as slurm, kubernates, Hadoop and HDFS, is highly desirable.

The appointee will be responsible for setting up and... maintaining a high-performance GPU cluster. The appointee will provide support to the users of the cluster, as well as to provide general support to staff of the Department on other computer and IT-related issues.
