Overview

As a Buyer within the business you will be located within the Purchasing responsible for purchasing materials and to provide support to all members of the Procurement department. Duties will also include expediting materials to arrive on time, administer Procurement processes to ensure accuracy, enrol suppliers in our processes and to purchase supplies as assigned.

Key Duties

· Gain quotes for goods & services, and generate & develop purchase orders.

· Manage clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.

· Purchase supplies and services within a reasonable cost

· Implement the contract strategies with the objective of meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality service, cost, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

· Create and maintain a good business relationship and communications link with... suppliers and on-site personnel

· Enrol & Train suppliers in our processes and maintain accuracy of our vendor file

Education and Work Experience:

· Ideally educated to A Level standard or above

· CIPS qualified or working towards

· Experience in contract administration and management in a construction environment.

· Strong track record of negotiating procurement / buying terms and conditions

· MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge Required

· Extensive experience in a similar role managing client-side purchasing resources.

· Ability to multi-task and identify priorities with high computer proficiency skills

· Possess high level of communication and interpersonal skills & able to create positive vendor relationships

· Strong organization and planning skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £32,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
