Ready to take collaboration to the next level?

More than ever, what we do is about how we choose to do it – where we work, when we work and the ways we make it our own. Here’s your chance to join a dynamic, creatively-driven team with a culture that’s second-to-none.

Datacom’s cross-functional Transformational Engagement team is home to a diverse range of perspectives and expertise across the fields of agile, strategy, solution, experience design, change, architecture and emerging technology. We’re a people-first bunch – our solutions are led by insight, empathy, creativity and inclusivity, and we pride ourselves on a culture that makes anything feel possible.

We do all this under the umbrella of Datacom

Datacom is proudly NZ-owned, connecting people with technology to solve challenges, create opportunities and help shape the future for our local communities. We’re local at heart, yet world-class in capability: with over 6,200 people worldwide, we generate an annual revenue of... over $1.2 billion, making us one of Australasia’s largest professional IT services companies.

We’re experts in data centres, IT services, software engineering and application management, as well as payroll and customer service design and operations – and with the Transformational Engagement team, we’re able to offer our customers a true one-stop-shop. We’re also deeply committed to our people, hiring, developing and promoting the best local talent from a diverse range of backgrounds.

We need a Business Analyst like no other

As our new Business Analyst, you’ll bring your experience and inquisitive mind to the Transformational Engagement team. You’ll help uncover and articulate solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations, playing an active role at every stage from initiation to post-implementation.

You'll have a strong understanding of all aspects of the systems and software development lifecycle as well as the business processes that interact with technology. Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies and practices is ideal but understanding the relationship with people and business impacts is a must. You’ll relish the opportunity to work closely with teams to understand the root cause of issues, and able to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

You'll also be an outstanding collaborator, creative thinker and communicator who can present and engage with a variety of stakeholders. It’s a dynamic role with the opportunity to chart your own course and support the wider Datacom team.

The nuts and bolts

We’ll need you to be able to:
• Work closely with stakeholders, such as product owners, customers, and end-users, to understand their needs and requirements
• Analyse workflow to create process maps, user stories and use cases, and identify areas of potential improvement
• Develop functional specifications that design and document the desired outcomes of system enhancement and development
• Support stakeholders in working with a variety of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean depending on their needs
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders including through ceremonies and workshops

Why you'll want to join us:

At Datacom, we believe that doing good is good for business. We’ve maintained our local family feel while expanding globally across Australia, Asia, the US and the UK. Our brand and reputation depend on ‘proving the promise’ and we aspire to be a trusted advisor for our customers across Government and the private sector, from enterprise scale to regional businesses.

When you join us, you’ll get a competitive salary package, fantastic perks and benefits like healthcare, life insurance, discounts at local retailers and a supportive, flexible working environment that’s welcoming and ego-free. If you want to join a company making a difference – both for our customers and our employees – we’d love to have you at Datacom
