Join us as our Senior Legal Counsel for our Italian office who will support our teams in Italy in order to develop the market and to help create the finance solution all businesses love.

Our Italian team is growing and our projects in this market are increasingly numerous and complex. Therefore, we now need an experienced and dedicated legal counsel for the Italian market who will help us draft, negotiate, and ultimately create strong partnerships to position us as a leader in the Italian market. The position is preferably based in our office in Milan but can also be based in Paris.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻As a Senior Legal Counsel at Qonto, you will

• Support operational, business, and brand marketing teams on all the legal aspects of their projects (new features, integration, API connection, IP protection, privacy/GDPR risks, advertising campaigns, events, communications, etc.)

• Be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex and strategic partnership agreements with major partners (banks, tax agencies, etc.)

• Be responsible for day-to-day legal operations in Italy

• Provide high-quality, risk-based legal advice across a range of commercial areas while being the best business partner

• Liaise with external local law firms

🤔 What you can expect

•You will be part of the Global Legal Team composed of 15 people working from France and Germany

•You will work on a wide range of legal subjects and with cross-functional teams in Italy and France

•You will report directly to the Head of Legal and work with people from all positions and teams

•You will have ownership and a high level of influence in helping Qonto close key partnerships that will help us achieve our goals.

Their path: You will report directly to Sibylle, Head of Legal - Commercial / Contracts / IP & Employment, who has more than 6 years of experience in the legal world. Her path was clear from the beginning as she chose as her first position after university to be the first in-house counsel in a young start-up. Since then she fell in love with fast-paced environments and loves transforming challenges into meaningful business targets while supporting her team to get there.

What they can bring to you: Sibylle is known for her strong negotiation skills, being able to translate complex business needs into simple action plans, and being a true partner to Qonto. All those skills she is able to bring to the team and is always there to support them in achieving their goals.

🏅About You

•You have strong expertise in Italian law and understand well the Italian regulatory system

•You have strong project management and prioritization skills

•You have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

•You have at least 4-5 years of experience in a law firm providing commercial, and strategic advice to Italian businesses or in-house experience in an Italian tech company

•You have experience leading in full autonomy complex commercial transactions

•You have the ability to work across all levels of the organization including multiple functional and business stakeholders
