The School of Chinese Medicine is creating a variety of positions for university graduates/experienced professionals to support various projects/programmes of the School. The School now invites applications for the following position:

Teaching and Research Division

Senior Research Assistant (PR0716/22-23)

The appointee will focus on performing animal related experiments for the research project - "Investigation of the role of palmitic acid in disease development". Major responsibilities will include -
• Literature review;
• Review and analyze test results generated from the experiments;
• Interpret test results and observations independently;
• Determine and apply appropriate statistical technique for analyzing data; and
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Applicants should have/be:
• PhD or master's degree in biology, Biochemistry... or related disciplines with at least 3 years of post-qualification research experience;
• Strong English reading and writing skills; independent research ability and cooperative spirit, active thinking, and willingness to communicate; and
• Solid experimental foundation, strong internal drive to carry out independent research under the guidance of PI.

Applicants with less qualifications and experience may be considered for appointment at a lower rank.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
