THE POSITION: Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school in the Gloucester area, on a long-term basis. Our client is a specialist in alternative educational provision for young people with special educational needs. They are in need of an experienced Teaching Assistant to join them on a long-term basis. With the complex needs of the students, we are looking for individuals who are capable and enthusiastic to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment. We are particularly looking for individuals with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, effectively re-engaging them with their learning. As an SEN TA at the school, you will be required to work with students on a 1:1, small group and general basis and be on hand to provide support to the class teacher where needed.
