Senior Management Accountant Job Description

Due to rapid growth, we are looking for a strong Senior Management Accountant to assist senior management in making critical business... decisions by analyzing and presenting key financial data.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Management Accountant will be primarily involved in providing managers with the relevant information to facilitate decision making.

The role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) looking for a role in industry.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget
• Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Providing commentary on management reports
• Preparation of cashflow forecasts
• Variance Analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts for each profit and cost centre
• Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
• Support budgeting process
• Support other members of the team
• Taking part in systems and process improvement initiatives
• Payroll preparation
• Billing and Margin reviews
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Experience, Qualifications, Personal Attributes
• Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and standards
• Relevant certification (e.g. ACA/ACCA)
• Vast Knowledge & experience in the use of Excel
• Experience of financial reporting
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A problem-solver with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-finance staff
• Organised and structured in daily duties
• Team player and ability to establish strong relationships
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
