This is a key role within our Finance Team that requires attention to detail, accuracy along with strong communication skills.

The role will support the Financial Controller. Whilst you will be working closely with the Finance team, you will also be collaborating with other departments within the company.

You will be a self- starter with a strong sense of initiative and ownership of tasks.

Financial Reporting
• Producing management accounts and related commentary (including currency revaluations, journal postings, revenue recognition calculations)
• Updating/reviewing weekly cashflow reports
• Assisting to produce quarterly rolling forecasts
• Assisting in consolidating management accounts for 3 entities
• Assisting and liaising with HR to prepare payroll input including the calculation of Sales Commissions
• Maintaining up to date balance sheet reconciliations
• Completing VAT returns
• Overseeing the accounts payable process and reviewing transaction listings to confirm accuracy of postings
• Approving payment run prepared by finance assistant
• Overseeing raising of sales invoice and credit control
• Any other ad hoc tasks

Business Partnership
• To support the Financial Controller to improve and align processes
• To help manage key external (finance) relationships, such as customers, suppliers or financial services (audit & tax)
• To assist with the local audit and tax requirements

Required skills & experience:
• AAT/ACCA/CIMA student, ideally part way through qualification or with more than 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (can demonstrate capability at interview stage)
• Knowledge of Financial Force would be advantageous
• Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who wants to grow with the business
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
