Purpose:

Zutari’s Power Generation team is seeking a qualified and experienced electrical or mechanical engineer specialising in utility scale wind, solar, hydro or energy storage projects to be based in either of our Tshwane or Cape Town offices. Zutari is an active player in renewable energy on the continent, covering markets throughout sub-Saharan Africa. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer to be part of a vibrant team, working with exciting clients across a wide range of markets.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engineering services across a wide range of renewable energy projects Work with teams of engineers to deliver complex projects for our clients Manage project and engagement with clients Collaborating with a wide range of internal expertise Innovate the ways we design and deliver solutions Role

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 4 - 8 years relevant experience, preferably gained in a consulting environment Experience in delivering Solar PV and/or Wind and/or BESS projects would be an advantage Experience in early stage renewable project development, prospecting and energy modelling would be an advantage Basic understanding of Power Purchase Agreements and EPC Contracts would be an advantage Excellent interpersonal skills Proven passion for renewable energy and energy generation Strong time management skills Strong project management skills We believe that a diverse work force is key to our business success.
