Position : Group Accountant Salary : R420k CTC Location : Waterfront, Cape Town Industry : Financial Services / Wealth Management MFGASF040322 Reporting Structure Reporting tthe Financial Accounting Manager the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the complete month end close process of several international entities across the Group.

Including the preparation of financial records under IFRS, financial statements, preparing and submitting relevant tax filings and providing financial information tstakeholders across the Group, enabling them tmake budgeting and investments decisions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities : Complete bank reconciliations for the bank accounts of specific Group entities on a weekly and monthly basis tensure that the cash records are correct Liaise with the billing team tensure that they have completed the billing, WIP accruals, bad debt provisions and income split journals for assigned Group entities each month Liaise with the accounts payable team... tensure that accruals and prepayments are booked correctly each month Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports Completion of IFRS lease accounting journals for relevant entities Check that the AP team has expenses tthe correct department versus budget Provide input intcash forecast for tax or other cash items Understand and adhere tall financial and accounting regulations and legislation Complete VAT and Tax returns, for the appropriate countries' tax authority within the required deadlines Assist with the completion of regulatory returns during busy periods and provide data tthe regulatory reporting team for monthly regulatory cap updates Input intthe calculation of local and Group service level agreements Work closely with the Global payroll accountant tbook the payroll journals for each jurisdiction Preparation of weekly / monthly cash flow forecasts Assist with the preparation of year- End statutory financial statements Liaison with auditors Respond tadhoc financial queries by gathering and interpreting data Prepare board report packs including financial analysis and commentary Minimum Requirements Qualified accountant Previous IFRS experience Good knowledge of different jurisdictional tax requirements is advantageous Previous financial services experience Regulatory filings experience Experience in Wealth Management / Investments industry is ESSENTIAL Personal Traits : Good technical accounting skills Good knowledge of different accounting systems knowledge of NavOne in advantageous Strong Excel skills knowledge of macros, Power Pivot and Power BI would be an advantage Very good attention tdetail and an organised logical approach is essential Proactive and solutions oriented Ability twork effectively under pressure and tmeet tight deadlines Strong interpersonal skills with ability tbuild effective working relationships and influence change Team player French, German or Hebrew language skills would be an advantage POPIA your CV you confirm that : 1.
