We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years post article experience outside of the audit environment with IT experience in Sequel and Power BI Requirements: - B Comm accounting degree or similar qualification - CA (SA) - IT automation skills critical - Comprehensive understanding of general ledger and financial accounting functions. - IFRS Accounting and reporting experience (preferably within insurance related industry) - Knowledge of IFRS17 will be advantageous - Knowledge and practical experience of relevant legislation. The Reporting Accountant will report to the Head of Group Finance and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks: Preparing internal monthly financial reports and analyzing variances. Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual shareholder reporting packs. Preparing Annual Financial Statements according to IFRS. Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual Prudential statutory returns. Preparing quarterly and annual South... African Reserve Bank (SARB) returns. Preparing company annual and provisional tax returns. Conducting monthly tax computations. Ensuring overall tax compliance of the license. Assisting with the annual Budget process.
