Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Construction, and collaborating with other Senior Portfolio Managers, this role is responsible for fostering a Total Portfolio mindset and culture within Investment Management. In particular, this role will (i) provide expert advice on the Defensive Asset and Credit sectors; (ii) work with Portfolio Delivery and respective partner selection Heads to implement portfolio solutions; (iii) develop Credit and Fixed Income strategies to improve total portfolio outcomes; and (iv) provide oversight and monitoring of the Fixed Income and Credit asset classes and continued research of diversifying and aligned strategies that support Total Portfolio outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, and a postgraduate qualification in finance, mathematics or quantitative methods, or evidence of commitment to post graduate studies through CFA or Masters. You will have 10+ years’ experience in the investment management industry giving you knowledge of portfolio management theory, asset, and market pricing models; understanding of macro- and micro-economic concepts; knowledge or experience in a range of instruments and strategies across Defensive Fixed Income and Credit asset classes including derivatives, rates or credit markets; meticulous attention to detail with an ability to remain focused on different portfolio types and activities; and strong analytical and quantitative background demonstrated through your relevant tertiary education.
