Duties

Correctional Service Canada is looking for a supervisor with excellent skills to supervise and direct planning and work related to building maintenance (preventive and corrective). The supervisor will be responsible for managing the various installations to ensure the prison complex is operational at all times (e.g. generator and security system, drinking and waste water, etc.). He/she will also be responsible for a team of approximately 10 to 15 employees from various trades, such as carpenter, painter, electromechanical engineer, plumber, etc. We are looking for someone who is dynamic... resourceful and an excellent leader who likes to face challenges every day. Work environment

The Technical Services and Facilities in the Quebec region at the Correctional Service of Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment and whose mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of the real estate assets of a penitentiary complex. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, electrical and mechanical systems, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, power plants, water treatment and purification plants to nom only those.

Education

A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience

Recent* experience of three (3) years in provision of technical maintenance services or construction of infrastructure and/or buildings.

Recent* experience of one (1) year in direct management of employees in the field of the position.
• Recent experience is defined as acquired experience within the last seven (7) years.
