Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects, including roads, bridges, wet utilities, buildings, landscape works and other elements of the urban infrastructure projects
Liaise with project... managers, construction teams, vendors, and contractors (as applicable) for obtaining necessary information and vice-a-versa
Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the project team
Conduct site visits, assess progress, check measurements, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Analyse project costs and provide regular reports to the project team, highlighting any budget overruns and proposing corrective actions
Make presentations, cost comparison statements, propose value engineering solutions
Assist construction teams in the tender documents, selection of materials, and contract packaging and awarding

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from any reputed University
Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for construction projects, preferably urban infrastructure projects, smart city projects, residential and industrial townships

Experience with lead statements, rate analysis, cost estimating, budgeting, and project management software
Knowledge of building codes and regulations, as well as construction materials and techniques
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and negotiation skills
