Lab Aide/Phlebotomist
Laboratory Full-time Day shift POSITION SUMMARY
Full-time position, 80 hours biweekly, day shift and rotating weekends and holidays. Performs venipunctures and capillary draws in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. Performs and processes Holter monitors. Acts as a customer service representative of the Laboratory (looking up results, phoning/faxing stats, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma
Experience: Preference is given to persons with prior phlebotomy training either though an accredited course or previous experience. ASCP certification in phlebotomy
is desired/preferred.
Persons with prior customer service experience desired but not mandatory. Computer skills are mandatory. Prior experience performing and processing Holter Monitoring is desired but not mandatory.
Minimum experience – must have performed at least 50 successful venipunctures in the past.
