Marine Underwriter EMEA Markets

We are looking for an open-minded, and business oriented underwriter to join our Marine & Energy EMEA hub team. About the Role

In this role, you will be mainly responsible for the costing and pricing of Marine treaty and facultative business including client management within your remit of responsibility. We expect you to support our client markets colleagues and any other partner in structuring Marine solutions tailored to both the client's and broker demand.

You will
• make your knowledge directly available to our internal as well as external stakeholders seeking at becoming the first port of call and discussion partner of choice when it comes to evaluate any kind of... Marine issues.
• monitor your assigned portfolio and represent our line of business in clients', brokers', and other external Marine related event such as Seminars or Conferences.
• have to stay ahead of market economics, political and technical trends as well as recognize Marine class relevant threat scenarios and technical challenges.

A tailor made and bespoke training will form the basis to learn all aspects of costing facultative as well as Marine treaties. Understanding of the underlying with respect to all Marine classes requires self-study, dedication accompanied by hands-on experience which will be acquired by doing.

About You

You are an outstanding teammate with excellent interpersonal skills and a self-motivated, proactive and customer focused mentality.
• Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship coupled with a further education/degree in insurance
• + 5 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance
• Flair for numbers and analytical skills
• Proficient in German, English and French or/and Spanish is required any other languages are an advantage
