UniOps (Unilever Operations) is the global business services (GBS) organisation for Unilever – delivering globally connected business operations and technology at scale for the whole company.

The role will support the UniOps Portfolio Management Project Lead, and drive the definition, validation, and implementation of the e2e functional scope of the project. The functional lead role will also support the selection of a new technology platform and will work closely with software vendor professional services to validate scope and implementation plans.

• Develop an understanding of the current as-is landscape of Portfolio Management within UniOps, including key planning processes, timings, and governance
• Drive the in-scope definition of requirements and user stories with SMEs identified as part of the portfolio management project squad
• Identify areas of scope that will require detailed process and RACI mapping, and mobilise business analyst resource(s) to perform the work required
• Represent the total UniOps functional solution in working sessions with software vendor professional services (‘PS’) teams
• Work with vendor PS to create the functional delivery schedule for the new portfolio management technology platform
• Ensure that the UniOps requirements can be delivered via selected technology, and operate as the ‘product owner’ for the new solution
• Support the migration of all UniOps service lines to the new ways of working and driving continuous improvements and enhancements to both processes and supporting technology
• Monitor service line adoption based on relevant KPIs and implement corrective actions with service line support, both during the project lifecycle as well as in BAU

• Experience of working as part of a cross-functional team that has delivered business outcomes, ideally where you have led functional workstreams
• Strong business acumen with the ability to foster consensus on the outcomes that the project is looking to deliver over time
• Familiar with agile ways of working, agile deliverables / artefacts, tools to support agile delivery process
• Experience of a typical software delivery lifecycle, following an agile methodology (discovery, sprint planning and execution, testing and sign-off vs. user stories)
• Willing to take a ‘hands-on’ approach and become the subject matter expert in how the new technology platform supports all in-scope UniOps processes.
• Understand high-level concepts and benefits of Portfolio Management within an enterprise.
