Occupational Therapist | NDIS | All skills levels encouraged to apply
Our client is seeking skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapists, specializing in providing therapy services to NDIS participants. As an Occupational Therapist working with NDIS participants, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering occupational therapy interventions to enhance the functional abilities and independence of individuals with disabilities. Your expertise will contribute to improving the overall quality of life and promoting inclusion for NDIS participants. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of NDIS participants' physical... cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial functioning, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
• Develop person-centered goals and intervention plans based on the assessment findings and in collaboration with NDIS participants, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Implement a range of therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices to address participants' specific needs, such as mobility, self-care, communication, and vocational skills.
• Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and activities to develop or improve motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and sensory integration.
• Address barriers to participation and promote social, emotional, and behavioral well-being through therapeutic interventions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting participants' progress, functional improvements, and ongoing therapy needs for NDIS funding reviews and plan reviews.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including other therapists, support workers, psychologists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for participants, promoting independence.
Ideal Candidate
• Undergraduate and/or Masters in Occupational Therapy
• AHPRA registered is preferable
• Familiarity with aged care and NDIS funding is advantageous.
