The Underwriting Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for conducting underwriting audits to identify improvements to optimize underwriting quality and operational efficiency. The achievement of national standards for data quality and service levels is also paramount. This role will also be responsible for organizing and... managing our knowledge repository (InfoStation) in support of underwriter knowledge development.

You’re great at:
Identifying gaps in underwriting knowledge through observation, discussion with stakeholders and analyses of results Understanding the underwriting process from the perspective of a front-line underwriter and approaching each file and audit with a sense of fairness and a desire to build confidence and expertise Working with teams throughout the organization and communicating findings in a clear and objective way Using various data sources as a starting point, you are able to interpret results and make deductions around issues, trends and areas of opportunity Organizing information of varying complexities and optimizing user engagement with content (in this case, our national underwriting guidelines) Communicating with confidence, both in writing and speaking/presenting

You have:
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive underwriting and/or underwriting audit experience with a strong understanding of various property, auto and casualty policy forms and terminology. Working knowledge of the company principles and practices related to underwriting approach, policy wordings, insurance contracts and coverage questions. Working knowledge of other functional areas (i.e., Claims, Risk Management, Risk Services, etc.) Ability to work within and adapt to PC oriented environments, including familiarity with e-mail and Internet skills. Competence with Microsoft Office components is an asset.
