You have :
• Completion of post-secondary education (university degree or college diploma) in property valuation or in a related field
• At least 5 years progressively responsible valuation experience (focus on quality monitoring preferred) with minimum 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Effective training, coaching, problem solving and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to... prepare and present reports and analysis on complex or sensitive non-compliance issues and persuade or influence others to improve
• Good knowledge of property valuation processes, procedures and policies, and a good understanding of assessment and taxation-related legislation
• Sound judgment, excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities, to develop and propose effective and reasonable recommendations for improvement
• Proficient use of Microsoft suite applications : Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Nice to have :

Working toward or the completion of a property valuation designation MIMA, AACI, FRICS

What you will do :
• Research and review industry criteria and technology applications to identify improvements or alternative approaches to monitor valuation functions and data processing
• Evaluate review findings and recommendations drafted by Quality Specialists and makes suggestions for improvements
• Identify trends / anomalies emerging from quality reviews; recommend areas for further investigation; draft strategies to improve the quality or efficiencies of current valuation modelling practices and various data processing activities including collection, keying, and distribution
• Assign reviews and ensure that sufficient and appropriate evidence is obtained to support findings, conclusions and recommendation resulting from the review
• Coach specialist in the development and execution of review project plans; review and ensure sampling techniques, project scope and review procedures are efficient and effective
• Manage the Canadian Property Assessment Network project by identifying comparative metrics and best practices, and responding to ad-hoc information requests from external organizations
• Promote a team-based and customer-oriented approach to service delivery
• Assign work, directly or through a team of supervisors / leads; monitor outcomes for accuracy, timeliness and quality
• Provide input to annual Branch operational goals; identify unit operating budget requirements; monitor and forecast monthly allocations;

identify and develop plans to mitigate variances
