Senior Structural Engineer

Sedgman is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane to support out projects across all global regions in various commodities including copper, gold, iron-ore and rare earth minerals.

The role will require but not be limited to:

As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will provide services at a Senior level,to plan and co-ordinate complex engineering design assignments entailing technical specifications and detailed planning, recommending changes to specification or design engineering processes as appropriate.
• Concept studies, including estimating quantities and preliminary designs
• Detailed concrete and steel design, including interaction with Designers and Drafters to produce models and documentation in line with QA Compliance
• Assist with construction enquiries, including safe lifting and erection
• Interface with other Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Process and... Mechanical
• Focus on technical innovation and continuous improvement

What are we looking for?
• Tertiary qualified Civil (Structural) Engineering with at least 10 years in design engineering within Mineral Processing or heavy industry
• Previous experience in project engineering/project delivery, and/or experience on site in operations would be highly regarded.
• RPEQ and/or CPENG accreditation highly regarded
• Skills in MS Office suite, MS Access, MS Project software
• High level of written and verbal communication
