Job Description About this Role The main responsibilities of the Actuarial Analyst II - IFRS include:

Finance Collaborate with Finance/Accounting Policy team in the analysis, interpretation and understanding of the IFRS standard

Participate in the implementation of the new standard and assess reasonability of results

Prepare and maintain results presentation decks and provide support on results justification and explanation.

Valuation Review and rebuild current existing month-end/valuation processes to comply with the new IFRS requirements

Take part in the onboarding and education of the existing Corporate Actuarial team

Act as a subject matter expert throughout the Risk Management function and the broader TDI financial group

Capital/Forecasting Support Capital and Financial Forecasting teams in Economic Capital ("ECAP") Modeling and Financial Condition Testing ("FCT") review

Support and guarantee the on-time delivery of Quantitative Impact Study (QIS) reports to OSFIOther... Stakeholders Build a strong contact network with various internal partners, including IT, Reinsurance, Pricing and Data & Analytics departments

Represent TD by participating in industry research groups to keep abreast of latest developments regarding the application of the standard

Governance and Process Optimization Review, challenge and implement recommendations of business partners (senior executives, risk and model validation partners, working groups, audit, and external peer reviewer).Support the implementation of best practices, risk mitigation, risk controls as well as processes, policies and procedures for the group. Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, or other quantitative area of study

ACAS/FCAS designation or ambition to continue CAS exams

Minimum 2 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience

Analytical/technical

Skills:

Skilled at anticipating the results of an analysis or a report

Recognized for his/her thoroughness and the quality of his/her work Shows initiative, creativity and critical thinking in his/her work

Has work experience with MS Excel (VBA), programming languages (eg. R/SAS/Python)

Soft Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. French is an asset

Highly adaptable for having discussions with different stakeholders in terms of expertise, training and hierarchical position

Ability to work effectively during periods of stress

Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with business partners

Autonomous and perseverant Additional Information This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or who require services in a language other than French
